๐ฅ Step 1: Load Your Playlist
Option A: Load from URL
Get your M3U playlist URL from your IPTV provider
Paste the URL into the "Playlist URL" field on the home page
Click "Fetch Playlist" button
Strim will automatically download and parse your playlist
๐ก Tip: If your provider blocks direct access, Strim will automatically retry through CORS proxies. No extra steps needed!
Option B: Paste Raw M3U Text
Download your M3U file from your provider
Open it in a text editor (Notepad, TextEdit, etc.)
Copy all the content
Paste into the "Paste raw M3U text" textarea
The playlist will be parsed automatically
Option C: Try Sample Playlist
Click the "Use sample playlist" button to test Strim with a demo playlist. Perfect for learning!
๐ฏ Step 2: Filter Your Channels
Understanding the Groups Panel
Once your playlist loads, you'll see a list of all channel groups. Each group shows:
Group name (e.g., "Sports", "Movies", "News")
Channel count (how many channels in this group)
Toggle switch (green = included, gray = excluded)
Filtering Techniques
Toggle individual groups: Click any group to enable/disable it
Select All / Deselect All: Use the buttons to quickly toggle all groups
Search groups: Use the search box to find specific groups by name
Filter by keyword: Type keywords to show only matching groups
๐ก Pro Tip: Start by clicking "Deselect All", then only enable the groups you actually watch. This is faster than disabling hundreds of unwanted groups!

Frequently Asked Questions
โ Will Strim work with my IPTV provider?
Yes! Strim works with any standard M3U or M3U8 playlist from any provider. It doesn't matter who your IPTV provider is.
โ Is my playlist data safe?
Absolutely! All processing happens in your browser. Your playlist never leaves your device unless you explicitly save it to the optional cloud backend or generate a shareable URL.
โ What if my playlist URL doesn't work?
If the direct URL fails, Strim automatically retries through CORS proxies. If that still fails, download the M3U file manually and paste the content directly into Strim.
โ How do I use the shareable URL in TiviMate?
In TiviMate:
Go to Settings โ Playlists โ Add Playlist
Choose "M3U Playlist"
Paste your Strim shareable URL
Click "Next" and follow the setup
โ Can I edit the same playlist on multiple devices?
Yes! If you use the optional backend (sign in), your playlists sync across all devices. Or simply use the same shareable URL on all your devices.
โ Why is my large playlist slow to load?
Playlists with 50,000+ channels take a few seconds to parse. Once loaded, filtering is instant thanks to background processing and virtualized lists. This is normal and much faster than manual editing!
